Wait Until Sunrise by Jade Maze, book review June 29 – 2pm

Please join us for our second book review on June 29th, 2019. We will be reviewing J.J. Maze book “Wait Until Sunrise.” It is a memoir that promises to hold your attention. The author will be present for this book review. Invite a friend. Invite a relative. Invite a teenager. We are so excited to have the author with us for this book review. Pastor Charlene Hill’s schedule
Pastor Charlene Hill will be in the office on Monday, and Friday 10:30am to 2:30pm and Wednesday 10:30am to 12:30pm by appointment only. She is often meeting with folks in the community and loves visiting members in their homes. Please call ahead if you want to meet her to ensure that she is in the office. Beginning Sunday June 2, 2019, the Deacons will continue to provide for the first Sunday pot luck and birthday celebration. On other Sundays only coffee, tea and juice will be served.
Church Picnic – July 4th. Immediately following the Hyde Park July 4th Parade. Feel free to bring any side item(s) to share. Financial contributions are also welcome. See Ann Audrain, Stephanie Uhl, Rev Charlene, Mary Lynn Parish, Pam Thomas, and Carla Flournoy to make a monetary contribution.
Congregation Meeting, July 7
There will be a special congregational meeting Sunday, July 7, 2019 immediately following worship. Members of the Council will update the congregation on the current situation with our church building and the progress that has been made thus far with the University of Chicago. To accommodate this meeting, the July potluck will be postponed by one week. The potluck will take place on the second Sunday, July 14, 2019. Please plan to stay for the congregational meeting July 7th.
