UCHP to host Town Hall Meeting – February 20th
The United Church of Hyde Park will host a town hall meeting on February 20th to explore ideas for sustainable and community-friendly shared uses of the facility. Join us at 6:30 p.m. for a tour and brief history of the church. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and will focus on the prospects and challenges facing UCHP. Afterwards participants will break out in groups to consider the best ways to utilize the church to maintain a sustainable future.
Fellowship after church
The Deacons have been our coffee hour/fellowship time hostesses. They have done a magnificent job, but it is a lot of work. Now it is our turn to step up and help out. The Deacons will continue to handle the First Sunday lunch and Birthday Celebration. The remaining Sundays are everyone’s responsibility. You can help!
Bring a table ready snack and after fellowship time take home your dish and any leftovers.
Volunteer are needed to help with clean up; clear and wipe tables, clean out coffee pot, wash and put away any dishes. There is a clean-up help sign up list on table in back of sanctuary – choose a Sunday to help.
Media Technology Support
Every first Sunday there will be one table at Potluck dedicated to supporting members who need support with their smart phones and being able to access our website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page. There will be a sign on this table. Please join this able.
UCHP – Welcome Board
We want to make our church more welcoming to visitors. One of the projects we are working on is our Welcome Board. We would like to update the board and put pictures of our members on it. We are asking that members submit pictures of their families for the board. We are also willing to take a picture of you here if you have no pictures. Thanks in advance for helping us to make our corridor more welcoming to visitors. For more information see Gerri Idom or Rev. Hill.
